About the Faith Companion
About the Faith Companion
The Faith Companion is a two monthly magazine aimed at accompanying Catholic parishioners on their faith journey. It's purpose is to be an interface between faith and life. Our goal is simply to make faith accessible to everyone; offering companionship, understanding and clarity as we journey together. Faith should not be lived in isolation; as a community we encourage and enrich eachother so that we are more equipped and empowered as children of God.
The Forget -Me-Not flower is known as a symbol of undying love and eternal friendship. However, there is an ancient Christian legend regarding this flower according to which the Child Jesus sitting on Mary's lap, told her He wished future generations could see here eyes. He then waved His hands over the ground and the blue forget-me-not flower appeared. Thus according to legend, this flower represents Mary's eyes and as such will be used by the Faith Companion as our main symbol.
