A COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY

The Faith Companion is a two-monthly magazine aimed at accompanying Catholic parishioners on their faith journey. If you have ever been inspired during Mass but were unsure how that translates into daily life, then The Faith Companion can help.

The Faith Companion is a two-monthly magazine aimed at accompanying Catholic parishioners on their faith journey. If you have ever been inspired during Mass but were unsure how that translates into daily life, then The Faith Companion can help.

The Faith Companion is a Community Interest Company and as such exists to serve the Catholic community, which means legally we have to give back 65% of our profits to the Church. Our goal is that this money is used to raise funds for the laity; to firstly help those whose financial means might not otherwise allow them to access our Tradition by attending courses, study days, retreats and pilgrimages; secondly, to provide a fund for education, adult and spiritual formation and training for the laity. So The Faith Companion is much more than a magazine, but a way of disseminating the faith to all and providing the laity with the means to become empowered children of God.

"I have just read through the online version of your publication, and I must say how very impressed I was by it.

I read many magazines in the course of my work, but your publication stands head and shoulders above most of them, so well done for producing such a fine publication."
I was so happy when he sent this to me. I couldn't believe it actually as he is well respected across the world!

FREE EDITION

Welcome to the FREE EDITION edition of The Faith Companion. This edition is published in the midst of the COVID 19 pandemic, when our Churches were closed to public worship, we are all in lockdown and suddenly all we took for granted, including life itself, is no longer a given. Due to this on-going situation we will only be publishing this current edition online. We pray our readers’ safety and may you all find many blessings during these trying times. God is always near even when we can’t feel his presence.
As always in The Faith Companion, the presence of God has revealed itself. A golden thread was discovered running through all our theological articles. Fr Conrad OP’s article talks of the “something of God” residing in each of us due to the “Great Exchange” … God became human so that humankind could become like God. Martin Ryan explains that as we are the chosen of God, we are all imbued with an infinite worth, something which is echoed in Dr Pia Matthew’s article “Yes to Life”. Life is a gift even in the unborn child, who shares this identity as a person of immense value. So - three articles, written by different authors in two different countries, but each complementing the other and all written without the others’ knowledge!
